creating visuals

The link between strategy and visuals is a part of the process that I see as hugely important; but also one of the most fun parts.

I therefore see myself in the role of Graphic Designer, Brand Designer or Art Director*. Being able to bring life to a strategy through appealing visuals; I see as my finest calling.

I'm a huge fan of geeking out on the computer, but also using my hands to create physical results beyond that.

In everything I do I always collect color-combos and patterns, either through my phone or my scrapbook. I love Pinterest, Cosmos and Instagram for ideahunting and moodboard collections.

*My skills are broad, and it's not the title that attracts me to the right position.

TOOLBOX

Creative projects have always come naturally to me and I relax the most when I have something in my hands.
I love mixing different materials in my processes to play with different and new outcomes.

Tools:

  • Paper mache, collage, decoupage

  • Knitting, crochet, tufting

  • Linoleum prints, mosaics, beading

MIXED MEDIA

gRAPHIC DESIGN

I think in colors, shapes, patterns and therefore my visual sense is my strongest and also the part of the process I find most fun. I both love creating visual identities, but I also find such satisfaction working with one and following the design guide. No matter what, the goal is definitely to work in a creative department!

Tools:

  • Adobe pakken: Illustrator, InDesign, AfterEffects, Photoshop

  • Figma

STRATEGY

I see myself as a creative, which is why I was a bit surprised at how much fun I actually had creating a strategy when I started PBA in Creative Branding. I find the whole process of getting there and the release when things suddenly come together hugely inspiring.

Tools:

  • The 5C’s (company, consumer, category, culture, communication)

  • Johson’s 6 branding questions

  • Strategic +

With my multimedia design background, I have good experience with UI/UX. I can both design websites from scratch in Figma and then code or build them in a builder, which I have done a lot of through my job at Amplify.

Tools:

  • HTML, CSS, Astro

  • No-code: WordPress (Yootheme, Elementor), Framer, Squarespace

  • Design: Figma
